The State of Racial Equality Movements Today: reversed discrimination 

Let's not forget, that racial discrimination is a double edged sword. Back in 2015, the phrase `White Lives Matter` (WLM) appeared as an answer to the Black Lives Matter (BLM) social justice movement [1]. Nationwide rallies were held in from 2017 up to 2021. The recent case was on October 3, 2022, when Kanye West wore a shirt with WLM slogan during his Yeezy SZN 9 fashion show in Paris [2]. 

Nowadays, White Americans do not feel that the government supports them. They begin to perceive themselves as if they are minority. Researchers believe that this state of affairs may lead to the beginning of another wave of struggle for social justice – now from the side of Whites. Thus, it will only strengthen the split in society. 

According to proponents of the critical racial theory, White babies are born racists without even knowing it [3]. 


Dr. Jason Hill, professor of philosophy at DePaul University and author of several books on racism, states that what the BLM ideologues are doing now is more like trying to wipe White people off the face of the earth [4].


The statistics show that the majority of Black Americans say that the legacy of slavery affects the position of Black people in the U.S. Moreover, they say that all descendants of people who were enslaved before should be repaid in one way or another [5], [6]. 


Just like that, according to experts, all these racial movements themselves are very controversial phenomena. Despite the fact that they solve a certain number of problems, they do not make it possible to fully stabilize the situation.
